New Dutch music should be heard. Several years ago the cd labels Near, NM Classics, Composers’ Voice and QDisc were established for this reason. Although these labels are no longer active, a great amount of music by Dutch composers is released on cd. The contemporary department at MCN collaborates with several Dutch labels on the realization of these recordings.
Music Center the Netherlands does not sell a number of cds.
These cds are available for purchase (or can be ordered) in music shops near you, or via the websites of the labels (BASTA Music & ETCETERA).

New recordings on cd
With BVHaast and Basta Music MCN collaborates on Dutch electro-acoustic music projects. And with Etcetera Records MCN annually releases cds with important work by prominent musicians. These falls within the serie of Dutch composers. The serie is made up of numerous cds and contains not only new recordings by re-releases of the Dutch music labels as mentioned above.
Earlier CD releases
Although the labels themselves no longer exist, Near, NM Classics, Composer’s Voice and QDisc are still available.
All recordings from the catalogues of the labels have been discontinued but they are accessible in the Music Information Center (MIC). Furthermore, many recordings are still available in music stores. Information about this is obtainable via Codaex the Netherlands: info@codaex.nl
