Grachtenfestival 2009 – World premieres Verbey and Andriessen

Ninety years after its conception the 1919 version of Stravinsky's Les Noces will finally be performed in a recently completed and approved version.

This is a performace based on version from 1919 of Stravinsky's Les Noces. De completion of this work was done by Theo Verbey.

This work and others will be performed in the Hermitage in Amsterdam as openings event of the Grachtenfestival 2009:

• Sherzo à la Russe,  Louis Andriessen (world premiere)
• Histoire du Soldat
• Les Noces, 1919-version completed  by Theo Verbey (world premiere)

Judith Herzberg, adaptation and narrator
