Swedish nomination for Klas Torstensson

The Dutch/Swedish composer Klas Torstensson is nominated this year for the Swedish Musikförläggarnas Pris.

The Musikförläggarnas Pris is awarded to Swedish composers and authors in eight different categories in the period from July 1, 2008 to June 30, 2009.  The categories are:

• Composer of the Year
• Lyricist of the Year
• Contemporary Classic Award - large ensemble/opera
• Contempory Classic Award - chamber music
• International Success of the Year
• Breakthrough of the Year
• Song of the Year
• Most Aired Song of the Year

The award ceremonie being held for the 7th time will be held in Berns Salonger in Stockholm on Friday November 6, 2009.
