MCN Projects Abroad 2010

This year Music Centre The Netherlands (MCN) is involved in developing and realising a number of projects abroad.

NL-RUHR is a performing arts programme at the European Capital of Culture year in the Ruhr (Germany). This project is a collaboration between MCN and the Netherlands Theatre Institute (TIN), the Dutch Consulate in Düsseldorf and many German partners such as festivals, music venues and orchestras.

Interactions SA-NL is diverse performing arts project with TIN. This year a number of Dutch musicians and ensembles will give concerts in South Africa. They will collaborate with local musicians, ensembles and orchestras.

The music programme at the Dutch Culture Centre in Shanghai (China), organised by managing director Martijn Sanders on the occasion of the World Exposition in Shanghai, is a collaboration with the Netherlands China Arts Foundation. The programme includes a great many concerts with musicians, bands and ensembles from the Dutch pop, jazz, classical and contemporary music scene.
