Prizes for the encouragement of new composers

HENRIËTTE BOSMANSPRIJS and TERA de MAREZ OYENSPRIJS 2011

The Association of Dutch Composers (GENECO) organises the HENRIËTTE BOSMANS PRIZE and the TERA de MAREZ OYENSPRIZE together with the Stichting Tera de Marez Oyens Fonds.
Beginning composers, including composition students, living in the Netherlands are encouraged to nominate a composition for the Leo Smit Ensemble. Also programmers, ensembles and composition teachers can nominate a work. Six to nine pieces will be selected by a jury, and will be rehearsed during public workshops with the Leo Smit Ensemble on march 23, april 20 en mei 25 2011 at the Bethaniënklooster in Amsterdam.
The winners of both prizes will be announced during a chamber music festival in september 2011. The composition of the winner of the Henriëtte Bosmansprize will be performed there, and the winner will receive € 3.000.
The Tera de Marez Oyensprize consists of € 2.000 meant for writing a new work. Download here the rules
