Toonzetters 2011 (“Trendsetters 2011”), Wednesday 22 June 2011

A professional jury consisting of international festival programmers has announced the selection for Toonzetters 2011. From close to a hundred submissions, the jury nominated the ten best compositions for the Buma Toonzetter’s Prize.

The performer(s) of the winning composition are awarded the Sena Performers Toonzetter’s Prize.

Toonzetters is the leading event for Dutch contemporary composed music, where a number of the ten best new compositions of 2010 are performed. During the final concert, the Buma Toonzetters Prize and the Sena Performers Toonzetters Prize are awarded; prizes awarded by a professional jury to the composer and performer(s) of the best new Dutch composition of the preceding year.

Toonzetters takes place on Wednesday 22 June 2011, at 20.15 hours in the Muziekgebouw aan’t IJ, as part of the Holland Festival.
