Presentation of the Fokker organ
After having disappeared from view during some years, the Fokker organ has been given a permanent home in the BAM Hall of the Muziekgebouw aan 't IJ.
This unique 31-tone instrument now has even more musical potential after a thorough renovation and the addition of MIDI-in and MIDI-out, which will surprise both composers, musicians and the public. At this concert the Gaudeamus Music Week and the Huygens-Fokker Foundation would like to offer composers the opportunity to become acquainted with this microtonal organ. www.huygens-fokker.org
