Dutch Culture in Pittsburgh

From the 18th of February until the 20th of May the Cultural District of Pittsburgh USA will be filled with Dutch Culture during the 'Distinctively Dutch Festival'.

Distinctively Dutch 2012 is a festival organized by the Pittsburgh Cultural Trust (PCT). It presents Dutch contemporary art and culture over a period of three months. Apart from 25 cultural projects, which will take place in the fields of theatre, dance, fine arts, film, literature and architecture, there will be five music productions.

Artists

Distinctively Dutch 2012 consists of a cross selection of upcoming and established artists. Non-musical artists and stage groups that are part of the program are: Dance Works Rotterdam/André Gingras, Wunderbaum, Jiří Kylián & Michael Schumacher, PIPS:Lab, Toneelgroep Amsterdam, Beumer & Drost, Joost Zwagerman and Ben van Berkel.

All activities will take place in renowned venues like the Andy Warhol Museum, MCG Jazz, City of Asylum/Pittsburgh, Carnegie Museum of Art, Carnegie Library Lecture Hall, Phipps Conservatory, Botanical Gardens and the Carnegie Mellon University.
