The MCN Jazz department promotes Dutch jazz in the Netherlands and abroad through a number of annual projects:

• the VPRO Boy Edgar Prize
• Young VIP tours
• The Composition Prize
• the VPRO Boy Edgar Prize Tour

The Dutch Jazz & World Meeting (formerly Dutch Jazz Meeting), a bi-annual event, remains the most important instrument in positioning Dutch jazz internationally.

Future plans include the organization of more meetings to actively inform musicians and consumers.
