The Composition Commission North Sea Jazz is granted annually to a young and promising Dutch jazz composer. The Commission aims to allow the composer maximum freedom in writing the compositions, plus the opportunity to perform the pieces with a line-up of his/her choice. The Composition Commission is a joint initiative of the North Sea Jazz Festival and Music Center The Netherlands, in cooperation with the Nederlands Fonds voor de Podiumkunsten.
