The concert programme of the Dutch Jazz Meeting came about on the basis of advice from about  seven seasoned programmers from Holland and beyond.

These were: Vera Vingerhoeds (VPRO-Radio), Ronald Keizer (B-Oost Festival), Wijnand Honig (NPS-TV), Marcel Kranendonk (SJU Jazzpodium), Cyriel Pluimakers (freelance programmer), Huub van Riel (Bimhuis) en Jaap Lüdeke (jazzjournalist).

The commission was asked use their own judgement and expertise and ensembles were invited to send cd's and information, which was forwarded by MCN-Jazz to these advisors.

Ensembles who played at DJM 2006/2005 were not considered.
