Misha Mengelberg/Piet Noordijk Quartet: Journey (MCN1101)
The fifth CD in the series Jazz at the Concertgebouw features a Dutch band for the first time. The concert by the quartet, featuring pianist Misha Mengelberg and alto saxophonist Piet Noordijk as well as drummer Han Bennink and bassist Rob Langereis, took place on 7 April 1966. Special guest is trumpeter Ted Curson. This live recording was never previously released on CD.

Sarah Vaughan: If this isn't love (MCN 1006)
The fourth CD in the series Jazz at the Concertgebouw is the release of the concert Sarah Vaughan gave on Saturday night, 7 June 1958. She is accompanied by her own trio, consisting of pianist Ronnell Bright, bassist Richard Davis and drummer Art Morgan.

J.J. Johnson: What's New (MCN 0903)
Featuring Bobby Jaspar, Tommy Flanagan, Wilbur Little and Elvin Jones
Previously unreleased recording of the concert the J.J. Johnson Quintet gave on 17 August 1957 at the Amsterdam Concertgebouw. The CD booklet contains unique photographs made by Ed van der Elsken during the performance. The extensive liner notes are by the well-known Dutch jazz critic Bert Vuijsje.

Theo Loevendie: Mandela/Chess! (MCN 0901)
The LPs Mandela and Chess! were released in 1969 and 1972 respectively, and clearly illustrate the interweaving of composed and improvised music in that era. For the album Mandela the Consort consists exclusively of jazz musicians, and the emphasis is on improvisation. The line-up for Chess!  includes classically trained musicians as well as jazz musicians, and the composition element is greater.

Chet Baker: Indian Summer (NJA 0701)
In September 1955 the Chet Baker Quartet, featuring pianist Dick Twardzik, gave two concerts in the Netherlands, at the Scheveningen Kurhaus and at the Amsterdam Concertgebouw, both of which made a deep impression on the audiences. For the first time the complete live recordings are now obtainable, including the previously unreleased music Chet Baker played at the Concertgebouw.

Rita Reys: I got rhythm (The rare and unissued Rita Reys) (NJA 0501)
This CD contains 24 rare historical recordings by singer Rita Reys, made in the Netherlands, New York, Stockholm, Prague and Antibes. Nine of these were previously unreleased, including two recordings made in 1961 by VARA radio with Boy's Big Band and two VARA recordings from 1959 with Theo Loevendie's Romance in Jazz. Five bonus tracks, unearthed by discographer Henk Zwartenkort, were also previously unreleased.

Liefde in Rhythm, Combo's in Nederland, deel 1 (1946-'51) (NJA 9501)
Collection of previously unreleased 78 RPM recordings by Dutch combos. The CD contains recordings by Tyree Glenn & Don Byas from 1947, bassist Henny Frohwein’s Atlantic Quintet from 1949-1950, the Miller Sextet from 1946 and De Millers from 1950, guitarist Jan Mol’s XYZ Trio from 1951 and the Decca Swingcombo featuring Dolf van der Linden from 1947.

Nedly Elstak, trumpeteer (NJA 0102)
Nine recordings from the period 1953-1969 and three solo piano tracks by Nedly Elstak from 1983. The personnel features Toon van Vliet, Rein de Graaff, Martin van Duynhoven, Pierre Courbois and the Theo Loevendie Consort.

Johnny and Jones: Two Kids And A Guitar (1938-'40) (DH 2051)
18 reissues of 78 RPMs from the period 1938-1940 by the Amsterdam duo of 'Johnny' Nol van Wesel and  'Jones' Max Kannewasser. The CD includes hits like Mijnheer Dinges Weet Niet Wat Swing Is and Onder Moeders Parapluie.

Johnny and Jones: Maak Het Donker In het Donker (1938-'44) (NJA 0101)
Previously unreleased recordings from the period 1938-1944. The CD includes radio recordings by the VARA, songs sung at a Jewish wedding  in Amsterdam in 1942, and the complete Westerbork Cyclus (including the Westerbork Serenade; named after the Dutch concentration camp), recorded in Amsterdam in 1944.
