MCN publishing department is developing new projects, acting in innovative and progressive ways. A start has been made with the publication of jazz repertory, educational editions and Special Editions: scores that come with a cd. The combination of recent or older audio-material with a newly typeset score seems to be an attractive concept.

In January 2010, Music Center the Netherlands published the complete works for piano solo by Ton de Leeuw (1926-1996)  in two volumes of sheet music with a compact disc. Some of these compositions by De Leeuw are published for the first time; other works are reissued in a modern, critical edition.

The publishing department of MCN produced a box with 9 piano works by Louis Andriessen and selected by Andriessen himself.
These pieces give a representative overview of more than 40 years of composing. The front of the box shows the Gustave Moreau painting 'Dalila'.
