Conferentie

Op 2 en 3 december wordt overdag in verschillende panels en interviews ingegaan op de belangrijke factoren die van invloed zijn op de wereldmuziek en jazz in Nederland en de rest van de wereld.

De bijeenkomsten vinden plaats in de zalen van Felix Meritis in Amsterdam. Het pand aan de Keizersgracht is twee dagen lang het middelpunt voor alle professionele programmeurs, journalisten, boekers en agenten in de jazz en wereldmuziek. De voertaal van de panels en workshops is Engels.

John Kelman constructs a portrait of Eric Vloeimans and Harmen Fraanje, two of Holland’s most sought-after jazz musicians. Acquiring a perspective on current developments in Dutch jazz is an integral part of this process. Caribbean heritage in modern Dutch Music ‘Crossover to the Next Level’ – traditional versus modern
