Anthology of Dutch Electronic Tape Music
The first two volumes of re-releases of the Composers’ Voice compact discs are now available.  They cover respectively compositions from the periods 1955-1966 and 1966-1977 and appear along with the original texts by Dick Raaijmakers and illustrations by Floris Guntenaar. Kees Tazelaar performed the editing and re-mastering.

Jacques Beers
Musicien d’avenir …
Attacca has released a double compact disc with an attractive and informative booklet written by Jurjen Vis about the composer Jacques Beers (1902-1947).

Ton Bruynèl
The Art of Ton Bruynèl
This is a DVD release with video-opera Non sono un uccello and the almost equally long documentary made in 1978 by Hans Menke for the NOS series ‘Beeldspraak’ which was broadcasted at that time.

Jan van Gilse
Symphonies 1 & 2
As with Julius Röntgen, David Porcelijn is a promoter of music by Jan van Gilse. Symphony No. 2 was performed in January 2007 by the Royal Orchestra of the Concertgebouw.  On this compact disc, both symphonies are performed by the Nederlands Symfonie Orkest (Dutch Symphony Orchestra).

The title of this compact disc comes from the majority of the works’ titles, in performances by the Asko Ensemble under the direction of Bas Wiegers: ‘….elegantly, rustling gulfs of fast tones, with resting points in which the piano chords are suspended…’, according to Anthony Fiumara in the accompanying booklet.

Guus Jansssen
Out of frame
‘Guus Janssen has never played so intensely’, was the headline in Frans van Leeuwen’s review of the latest compact disc by pianist Guus Janssen (in: NRC Handelsblad, June 20, 2008).  Sentimentally youthful music (the melody from the Belgian children’s’ series Kapitein Zeppos by Bert Kaempfert) and pieces reminiscent of Thelonious Monk.

Jos van der Kooy
New Music for the Mülller Organ
Jos van der Kooy performs on ‘his’ organ in the Grote of St. Bavokerk in Haarlem the world premieres of works by Wim de Ruiter (Trifid), Piet Kee (The Organ, homage to Pieter Saenredam), Hans Kox (The Darkling Thrush), Hans Asselbergs (~12zeven5~) en Roderik de Man (Crosscurrents).

Jan Rokus van Roosendael
Static motion
This double compact disc gives, according to Jochem Valkenburg in NRC Handelsblad (June 20, 2008) ‘an impressive overview (…) of the work by this composer who passed away in 2005, far too young and far too unknown. Recorded works are: Tala, Irama, Windows, Static motion, Space of time, Echo, Facetten, Psalm 139 en The beatitudes.

Kristoffer Zegers
The pendulum of Kristoffer Zegers
In the first volume in the series ‘New Dutch electroacoustic music’ a compact disc was released with works by Kristoffer Zegers (1973); his first compact disc contains compositions for electronics and electronics with instruments from the period 1997-2005.
