Blue Note label tekent Sabrina Starke

Sabrina Starke is opgenomen door het vermaarde label Blue Note, waar ook artiesten als Al Green en Norah Jones onder contract staan.

Starke is onder de aandacht gekomen bij de platenmaatschappij door haar optreden in De Wereld Draait Door twee weken terug.

In het persbericht staat: "One listen of Sabrina's Do For Love stopped me in my tracks, put Manhattan on pause and the song on repeat. I love her spirit – the voice and the songwriting – and can't wait to see her perform live. EMI has found a real diamond." (Billy Mann, Global President of International A&R/Blue Note)

Gevolg van de platendeal is dat Starke tot 2010 verzekerd is van optredens. Haar album Yellow Brick Road zal ook in andere landen dan Nederland uit gaan komen.
